I have currently completed a master's degree in computer science of HCI (eligible to graduate on 28/Nov/2023) at the University of St-Andrews.
Prior to this, I obtained a bachelor's degree in applied psychology in China.

The Typical Showcase
EyeRead is a mobile e-reading application designed to provide basic reading functions, such as page-turning, highlighting, copying, and pasting, through eye control alone or in combination with other sensory modalities like touch, voice commands, remote control, and drag-and-drop, right out of the box. By exploring how eye-tracking can enhance the traditional user experience of operating mobile devices in specific contexts, we have developed a prototype of this reading software, driven primarily by gaze-oriented gestures. The main objective is to discover intuitive ways to implement gaze-based gestures effectively, potentially augmenting or replacing various interfaces and workflows.

Human-computer interaction goes beyond interface research; it explores all possibilities of interactions between objective entities and living beings. This collection showcases various projects in software and hardware interaction. By combining software programming and hardware design, these projects create innovative digital solutions and physical device interactions. They encompass applications like smart control, IoT devices, machine learning models, and the use of multiple sensor technologies, opening doors to innovation and novel interaction methods.

Visualization is a means of expressing data through various visual forms to narrate the story of data. These projects and techniques are dedicated to transforming abstract information into expressions of emotion and insight, with a particular focus on emotional and physiological data. Simultaneously, during the data analysis stage, they collaborate with AI analysis and integrate machine learning algorithms to enhance data interpretability and expressiveness. Furthermore, there is an exploration of the potential of 3D modeling, AR, VR, and XR technologies to enhance visualization interactivity, offering more possibilities for data analysis and communication.

Welcome to the Empathy Box! More than just a box, it is a symbolic space that visualizes our struggles mixed with outside obstacles and inner pressures and emotions. Here, you can manipulate the length and width of the box, each representing varying levels of external obstacles and inner pressures respectively.
Emotions influence the box's material and the color of the surrounding atmosphere. The three basic emotions correspond to the background, the color of the box, and the basic state of the material of the box. The intensity of the emotion will change the light transmission and color of the box, as well as the state of the surrounding atmosphere.
Engage in the experience of empathy, gain a deeper feeling of visualizing how varying conditions affect our mental states.
